Allstate Field and St. Paul Woods
OMW and Polar Vortex have an “open door” practice policy. All are invited, including our esteemed competitors, friends, out of town visitors, college kids, young men, women, etc. We start practicing in March at 10:30 am every Sunday through to Regionals except for holidays, tournaments, and lightning. We start our practices at Allstate Turf Field in Humboldt Park because of we don’t want to be limited to playing on nice spring days in Chicago. Fields are usually wet, muddy, and we don’t want to damage potential field space for us or other teams. Once the weather gets nicer, we switch to our Home Fields in St. Paul Woods. Once the season gets rolling in earnest, and day light savings time starts, we also have a Thursday Night practice, field TBD.
After we wrap up our practices at Allstate Turf Fields, Open Practices happen on Sundays at 10:30 at
St. Paul Woods in Frank Bobrytzke Forest at 6500 N Lincoln Ave in Morton Grove, Illinois:
